Having students and families know all the important events, happy news, funny stories, and shout outs to students or people doing great things is important to Mr. Sledge. With time constraints being what they are during band class, it is hard to find time to share. Mr. Sledge will be using Twitter in hopes that people involved with band connect with each other in a more relaxed atmosphere. New Middle School Band Director

This summer Lucas Sledge was named the new band director at Boyle County Middle School. Mr. Sledge Graduate from Allen Co. Scottsville High School, received his Music Education Degree at Western Kentucky University, and Masters in Instructional Leadership at Eastern Kentucky University. He has been in the Boyle county School System since 2004 teaching music to kindergartners - senior. Mr. Sledge is excited about this new opportunity and is read to get to work

This meeting is for students wanting their own instrument for band (not orchestra). I strongly encourage everone needing an instrument to attend this meeting whether you plan on using a school owned instrument or rent-to-own your own instrument. Their is no pressure. The instruments offered by Don Wilson are easier to play, last longer, and hold their value so they may be sold later. Click on the Don Wilson name above to get a "little" information about the rental process.
Handbook Contract Due
Friday, August 23rd
All students and guardians must complete the handbook contract by filling out the online form at the end of the "Handbook Section" located on this website. It acknowledges everyone involved has read the handbook and agrees to it's policies. Students without access to technology will recieve a hard copy of the handbook and contract to be returned by the date above.
